Swiss (1): Getting there

Switzerland is a landlocked country, so you can only get in through land or air.

In Europe, train probably is the best choice. There are airports in almost all big cities like Geneva, Zurich etc.

For me and my wife, it was just around 226 Euros return ticket from Paris to Geneva, booked well in advance.

You do need you passport and visa to travel in and out of Swiss even when traveling from a EU country for now, it might change in 2009. If you have a temporary residence card ( carte de sejour from France) that works as well along with the passport.

Public transport from Geneva Airport and Other Options

Halal Food: Do not worry about it, just get out of the train station and cross the road, you will find many restaurants in the streets.
