The mango season is back! And it doesn't get any better than the Sindhri mangoes (from my land). It really is the best of all the mangoes, no kidding!! I think Alphonso, the Indian type, really sucks compared to this one. Maybe it's just me.
Try it for yourself. Although you can get these from all the big store (e.g. Carrefour) but generally they are very 'deformed' by the time they get there.
I discovered this last year: just go to the Dubai Fruits and Vegetable market and get a 'paity' as well call it, a wooden basket containing around 7-9 kilos of mangoes, yum yum...
The price generally starts from 20 dirhams to around 25-30 dirhams, depending on your bargaining skills and the quantity you want. Also, don't buy it in one of those shades in the market, just go to the whole sale shop next to the shades, and there they have the best ones and the cheapest!!!
