Surat Ash-Shūraá (The Consultation) -11- سورة الشورى
Sahih International
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

Surat Al-'An`ām (The Cattle) - 151, 152,153 - سورة الأنعام
Sahih International
151 - Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason."
152 - And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allah fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember.
153-And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous.
Easy-going might not be a good thing
Surat Al-'An`ām (The Cattle) - 44 - سورة الأنعام
Sahih International
So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.
Majority-rule probably does not work
Surat Al-'An`ām (The Cattle) - 116 - سورة الأنعام
Sahih International
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah . They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
Let their wealth not deceive you
Surat At-Tawbah (The Repentance) -55- سورة التوبة
Sahih International
So let not their wealth or their children impress you. Allah only intends to punish them through them in worldly life and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers.
Need humbleness
Surat At-Tawbah (The Repentance) -82- سورة التوبة
Sahih International
So let them laugh a little and [then] weep much as recompense for what they used to earn.
Our covenant
Surat At-Tawbah (The Repentance) -111- سورة التوبة
Sahih International
Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah , so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah ? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.

And among them is he who says, "Permit me [to remain at home] and do not put me to trial." Unquestionably, into trial they have fallen. And indeed, Hell will encompass the disbelievers.

Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.
The in-between people
Surat Al-Haj (The Pilgrimage) - 11 - سورة الحج
Sahih International
And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.
